When a rotary airlock valve stops feeding smoothly, the cause is usually mechanical wear, material behavior or an operating condition that has changed. This checklist helps maintenance teams identify the likely cause before repair or replacement.

Jamming Checks

• Inspect for foreign objects in the rotor pocket
• Check whether sticky material has built up on the casing wall
• Confirm rotor and casing are not contacting after thermal expansion
• Verify bearing and reducer condition
