Rotary Airlock Valve Dimensions & Size Chart
 Aug 24, 2026|View:70

Rotary airlock valve dimensions are important when selecting a new valve or replacing an existing rotary feeder. A correct size check helps avoid installation mismatch, capacity loss and unnecessary modification work on site.  Key dimensions to confirm   Inlet and outlet flange size.  Overall height from inlet face to outlet face.  Body width, drive side clearance and motor position.  Shaft position and coupling or chain drive layout.  Rotor diameter, rotor length and pocket volume when available.  Flange drilling pattern and connection standard.   Dimensions for replacement projects  When replacing an old rotary valve, the most important data is not only the model name. Photos, flange drawings, center distance, overall height, drive direction and available space around the valve should be checked together.  Size chart limitations  A size chart is useful for preliminary selection, but the final model should also consider bulk density, capacity, material flowability, pressure condition, temperature and sealing requirements. Two valves with similar dimensions may not perform the same in different powder handling systems.  What to send for a quick check   Photos of the existing valve and nameplate if available.  Inlet and outlet flange dimensions.  Required capacity and material bulk density.  Operating temperature and pressure difference.  Whether the valve is used under silo discharge, dust collection or pneumatic conveying.   Related FUWEI pages  Use the  rotary valve sizing guide  for capacity and dimensional selection data. If the valve is worn, compare this with  rotary airlock valve troubleshooting  and  repair or replacement support .  Selection note  FUWEI can help review replacement dimensions after material data and installation photos are supplied. Do not change a published URL or flange standard without confirming the existing installation requirement.

Rotary Airlock Valve Dimension Measurement Worksheet

Use this worksheet to record the installation dimensions of an existing rotary airlock valve or to review the space available for a new rotary feeder. It is a measurement guide, not a universal model dimension schedule. Final dimensions must be confirmed against the selected FUWEI drawing.

MeasurementWhat to recordWhy it matters
Inlet flangeOutside dimensions, opening size, bolt-hole quantity, diameter and spacingConfirms the connection to the silo, hopper or upstream equipment
Outlet flangeOutside dimensions, opening size and bolt patternConfirms the gravity discharge or conveying-line connection
Face-to-face heightDistance from the inlet flange face to the outlet flange facePrevents installation-height mismatch
Body envelopeMaximum body width and depthChecks interference with frames, guards and nearby equipment
Shaft centrelineHeight and direction of the shaft relative to the flangesConfirms drive alignment and replacement compatibility
Drive clearanceMotor, gearbox, coupling or chain-drive projectionEnsures adequate installation and maintenance access
Rotor informationRotor diameter, length, pocket count and speed when knownSupports capacity and replacement checks
Operating dataMaterial, bulk density, capacity, temperature and pressure differencePrevents selecting a valve from dimensions alone

How to Use the Dimension Worksheet

  1. Photograph the complete valve, nameplate, inlet, outlet and drive side.
  2. Measure both flange openings and bolt patterns rather than quoting only the nominal pipe size.
  3. Record overall height, shaft direction and the maximum available drive-side space.
  4. Add the handled material and operating conditions before comparing a replacement model.
  5. Request a confirmed outline drawing before manufacturing or changing connected equipment.

Rotary Airlock Valve Dimension FAQ

Are rotary airlock valve dimensions standardized?

Not completely. Nominal inlet size may be similar, but flange drilling, face-to-face height, shaft position, rotor length and drive layout can differ by manufacturer and model.

Can a replacement valve be selected from flange size alone?

No. Flange size must be checked together with capacity, bulk density, particle size, pressure difference, temperature, rotor clearance and available installation space.

What should I send FUWEI for a dimensional replacement check?

Send front, side and top photos, the nameplate, inlet and outlet measurements, bolt pattern, overall height, shaft direction, drive clearance, material data and required capacity.

Continue with the rotary airlock valve selection parameters, review the capacity calculation guide, or use the repair and replacement support page.
